The Angel in You

Written by: Kimberly Knaus

The world moves so fast, you slow it down with grace
Holding doors for strangers, wearing kindness on your face
Sharing smiles, lending a hand when times are tough
showing love is enough, oh, love is enough

It’s the way you listen, the way you truly care
A heart that’s always giving, and that you will always be there

The angel in you
Lights up the dark, with all the things you do
So gentle, so kind, with a heart warm and true
God has given me an angel: the angel in you

You give flowers just to make a stranger’s day
Leave notes of hope in pockets, chasing shadows away
You bring laughter to the silence, bringing peace where there’s pain
In a world that’s sometimes broken, you’re sunshine after rain

It’s the way you listen, the way you truly care
A heart that’s always giving, and that you will always be there

The angel in you
Lights up the dark, with all the things you do
So gentle, so kind, with a heart warm and true
God has given me an angel: the angel in you
When life pulls me to the left and pulls me to the right,

You steady every fear, calm every doubt
You light my way when there is no way out
You light my way when there is no way out

The angel in you
Lights up the dark, with all the things you do
Gentle, kind, with a heart that’s warm and true
I’m grateful, so very grateful for the angel in you
You light up the dark; with all the things you do
God has given me an angel: the angel in you
