Heirloom Hand Mirrors are made from solid Walnut, carved with a 3D relief and sanded to a #300 grit finish. There is a nice round-over all around giving it a comfortable feel in the hand and with a classic antique shape this mirror is a keeper. Finally, the wood is finished with (9) coats of water based, hand rubbed, high gloss polyurethane.
At this point the 5" beveled mirror is installed into a recessed base using a synthetic elastomeric polymer adhesive for maximum strength and durability.
These mirrors are made to last with proper care. We call it the "Heirloom Mirror" because it's just the kind of thing that is cherished and passed down through the generations.
We have made these with a variety of reliefs, Horse, Cat, Lion, Wood Spirit, Flowers and even Jesus.
